- "Intelligent, drily seething and duly enraging in turn."
- "[An] intricately composed, emotionally roiling tale of police corruption and brutality, from the director and co-writer Dominik Moll. I’d happily watch an entire TV series built around the movie’s indomitable protagonist, a principled police investigator named Stéphanie (a splendid Léa Drucker)...."
- "The great Léa Drucker is -- this year -- proving that she can play restrained and responsible adults... As Stéphanie, she convinces as a focused and intelligent professional with an easy charm...."
- "A taut, charged procedural... it’s high-minded, valuable work."
- "A study of police violence and corruption that writes itself into a corner and then, brilliantly, forces us to sit there."
- "As Stéphanie Bertrand, the tremendous Léa Drucker gives vitality to every move and counter-move in this measured account of police business."
- "Made with the same laser-cut precision as his previous work, but with a greater emphasis on procedure than before, Moll’s new thriller puts the viewer in an uneasy place, raising questions for which there are no easy answers."
- "Hitting all the beats of the police procedural, Moll, with a simple but effective sleight of hand, turns the genre inside out, and points to a much bigger offscreen enemy.... [T]he film’s play with storytelling and perspective is extremely satisfying...."
- "Lea Drucker gives a marvelous performance as a dedicated public servant determined to find the cops who gravely injured an innocent 20-year-old man."
- "Much like the case itself, a crime drama performed and crafted with this level of care and social resonance is well worth investigating."
- "Moll’s... powerful argument about the state of modern policing comes through loud and clear."
