Synopsis

For 25 years, Michelin 3-star chef Sergio Herman has strived for perfection. Taking over his father's seafood resturaunt, Oud Sluis, in the northern Netherlands in 1990, the intense chef made it his life's mission to turn it into one of the premiere culinary establishments in Europe no matter the cost. Though successful in this pursuit, at the height of this career, Sergio decides to close the now-famous eatery. Despite outcry from the culinary community, Sergio's obsession with achieving culinary perfection has not been without casualties to his relationships, mental or physical health. Beautifully shot on Super-16mm by Remko Schnorr, Kluijfhout's Sergio Herman, F*cking Perfect is an intense, fly-on-the-wall story of ambition, the pursuit of perfection, and the sacrifices it takes to obtain it.
