VIRTUAL CINEMA INSTRUCTIONS

To use a Virtual Cinema screening room to watch a film presented by your favorite movie theater, you can:

- follow the link supplied by your local theater and purchase the film; OR

- go to our In Theaters page, select the film you want to see, scroll down to the Now Playing section, click on a theater currently showing the film, and then purchase the film.

 


Most Film Movement virtual cinema releases use either Eventive or Film Movement Plus for the platform, and many theaters also use Eventive (although not exclusively). Here you can find instructions for our two most commonly used platforms:

Eventive has an Apple TV app and a Roku app for watching on TVs, and can also be Chromecast.




FILM MOVEMENT PLUS - VIRTUAL CINEMA INSTRUCTIONS



ONCE YOU HAVE COMPLETED YOUR PURCHASE, LOOK FOR THE CONFIRMATION EMAIL
(it may be in your spam folder if you don’t see it in your inbox!)

The email will have complete directions for watching your film, which are as follows:

You can watch your film for the next 72 hours on your:
TELEVISION (using Apple TV, Android TV, Fire TV, Roku or Chromecast),
MOBILE DEVICE (iPhone, iPad, Android) and/or
COMPUTER (by clicking on the link in the email).

To watch on your television, the best method is to use one of our apps. For Apple TV, Amazon Fire, or Roku:

  • Download the Film Movement Plus app.
  • Open the app.
  • Sign in using the email and password you used at time of purchase.
  • Scroll down to Library.
  • Your film should be under your My List row.

Or you can watch on your TV by using Chromecast or connecting your computer to the TV using an HDMI cable.

To watch on your mobile device, the best method is to use one of our apps.  For iOS and Android:

  • Download the Film Movement Plus app.
  • Open the app.
  • Sign in using the email and password you used at time of purchase.
  • Navigate to Library on the bottom of the page.
  • Your film should be under the Purchases tab.

And you can always watch on a regular web browser if you prefer.
