Synopsis

Marie Forså (Bel Ami, Butterflies) stars as Bibi, an innocent girl who leaves her home in the country for her sophisticated aunt’s boarding house. Once there, Bibi joyfully embarks on a series of sexual adventures with the other boarders, her aunt’s friend, and a trio of women at a nearby sauna. Bibi’s progression from innocent girl to a worldly jezebel – as evidenced in a pastoral whipping scene - is beautifully captured by cinematographer Peter Rohe, and director Sarno’s smart script ensures Bibi, while startlingly erotic, remains emotionally complex.
